Biography
James Chen is has had NIH support as an investigator for multiple NIH grants for developing computer-assisted tools in segmenting, classifying, and predicting tumor genomics and prognosis in adult and pediatric patients as well as follow-up tools. He was involved in The Cancer Genome Atlas high and low-grade glioma projects. He has been involved in XAI (explainable AI) projects with DARPA support.He has published and presented extensively in multiple areas of interest in neuroradiology including brain tumors, brain trauma and spine among others.He has served a four-year term on the editorial board of the AJNR.He has a strong interest in clinical education and is the long-standing spine section chief for educational exhibits at the ASNR annual meeting.He is often known for data-driven discussions on neuroradiology workforce and workflow issues when asking his boss for more FTEs.
