Federico Cagnazzo, MD, PhDSenior Consultant Neurosurgeon and Neurointerventional SurgeonHead of the CSF Center, Montpellier University Hospital, FranceDr. Federico Cagnazzo is Senior Consultant in Neurosurgery and Interventional Neuroradiology at Montpellier University Hospital (France), where he leads the Cerebrospinal Fluid (CSF) Center. He completed neurosurgical training in Florence and Pisa (Italy), followed by two years of fellowship in Interventional Neuroradiology in Montpellier, and research fellowships at the Mayo Clinic (Rochester, MN) in neuroendovascular surgery and CSF leak treatment under Professors Giuseppe Lanzino and Waleed Brinjikji. He holds a PhD from the University of Montpellier and the Institute of Functional Genomics (IGF), focused on biomarkers of idiopathic intracranial hypertension.Dr. Cagnazzo is faculty in the French national Inter-University Diplomas of Interventional Neuroradiology and Migraine & Headache Medicine. Author of more than 140 peer-reviewed publications; His current research focuses on cerebrospinal fluid disorders, venous sinus stenting, and minimally invasive neurovascular therapies. He is the principal investigator of the randomized controlled trial Intracranial Venous Stenting Evaluation in Patients With Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension (DIVE-IN, NCT06919744).
