Biography
Dr. Jared Verdoorn is an Assistant Professor of Radiology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, where he currently serves as the chair of the neuroradiology procedural practice and the director of diagnostic spine imaging. Dr. Verdoorn specializes in diagnostic neuroimaging as well as image-guided neuroradiology procedures including interventional spine procedures for pain management, head/neck and spine biopsies, localization and treatment of spinal CSF leaks, and vertebral augmentation.Dr. Verdoorn graduated from Marquette University with a B.S. in biomedical engineering and went on to earn his M.D. at the University of Minnesota. Following a transitional year at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse, WI, he completed his diagnostic radiology residency and neuroradiology fellowship at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. Subsequently, he has practiced for 10 years at the Mayo Clinic and is board-certified by the American Board of Radiology with a Certificate of Added Qualification in Neuroradiology.Dr. Verdoorn is an active member of multiple professional medical societies and has published numerous peer-reviewed journal articles. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his wife and two young sons as well as traveling and hiking.
