Biography

Mai-Lan Ho is an internationally recognized physician leader, scientist and educator who specializes in translational advanced imaging and precision health. Dr. Ho completed her undergraduate degree in chemical engineering at Stanford University, graduate training at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and medical school at Washington University in St. Louis. She then pursued a diagnostic radiology residency in the Scholar’s Track at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Harvard Medical School, with mini-fellowships in body MRI and musculoskeletal radiology. Following pediatric and head/neck imaging experience at Boston Children’s Hospital and Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, Dr. Ho completed her neuroradiology training and a chief fellowship in pediatric neuroradiology at the University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Ho holds several editorial positions, including associate editor for the British Journal of Radiology, Journal of Neuroradiology and Radiology–Open; and guest editor for MRI Clinics of North America, AJNR News Digest, Bioengineering and Children. Her books include Neuroradiology Signs, The AAWR Pocket Mentor, and Pediatric Neuroimaging: State-of-the-Art. She has received awards for leadership, research and education from the Radiological Society of North America, American Society of Neuroradiology, Academy for Radiology & Biomedical Imaging Research, Society for Pediatric Radiology, American Society of Head and Neck Radiology, American Association for Women in Radiology, Eastern Neuroradiological Society and Western Neuroradiological Society.
